Tifa had told Ed she'd be there soon, though soon wasn't really what happened. In fact it had taken her quite a bit of time to locate the room Ed had told her was her's.

She was still very much new to this place. Especially because this was her first encounter with Facility One. She wasn't quite used to the blinding, stark white. When she finally reached the room, she knocked gently.

"Ed?"

"Who is it?" Ed asked through the door. Tifa's voice sounded familiar but the paranoid and sick girl wanted to make sure it was really her.

"It's Tifa. Cloud's friend." she made sure to talk slowly, calm. She was worried about the younger girl, but she had to make sure to stay calm. To let the girl know it was okay, she was there, she wasn't alone anymore.

"Tifa, come in!" Ed said warmly. She was tired sounded and when Tifa came inside she would find Ed wrapped up in her blanket as if it's a cowl. But she's sitting up cross-legged on her bed.

Tifa walked in, slowly and deliberately. Tifa smiled slightly when she found Ed. She walked over to the bed and carefully sat next to her.

"How are you feeling, Ed?"

Ed sat up and gave her a sad sort of grin. But her expression changed with that question. Her eyes went big and sorrowful and she tucked away almost cat like. "Ed hurts," she said softly.

Tifa's expression soon turned into one of concern.

"Ed? What happened?"

Ed stared, maybe she hadn't seen the broadcast she didn't know it seemed like everyone knew somehow. She bit her lip and shook her head. She didn't want to talk about it. Instead she said, "last time Ed came back it hurt too."

Ah, so she died. No wonder she wanted to be with someone. Tifa lightly put an arm around the younger girl, pulling her lightly to her.

"It's okay. I'm here now. We'll just have to make it stop hurting, hmm?"

"Tifa can make it stop?" Ed asked nervously, looking up at the woman in front of her. Cloud had already tried and failed. Ed didn't know it but the pain, while inescapable, would pass with the experiment, the pain was a side effect of her resurrection.

"I'll try my hardest. The pain will fade eventually, I promise. If not today, soon. But before that I'll definitely try."

She pulled the younger girl into a light embrace, she didn't want to harm her anymore than she already was, but she knew she needed to hold her to her. Or at least that worked with the kids back home.
