Willy had woken up in a lot of pain. Just putting on his socks was nearly unbearable yet he still managed to wash up, get dressed and gathered his courage to meet Stephanie at the biodome. What would have taken him a half an hour to do, turned into a chore that lasted nearly over an hour. He was thankful that he's not a procrastinator and each step he took was a personal journey to him.
He focused on what Minako had said to him. "Just tell her how you feel." Never in his life did he ever feel this way until now. With each slow, excruciating step, came a thought. What if she's found someone else? What then? So many thoughts, so much pain, but soon he'll have to confess to her which is the whole purpose. He was mentally preparing himself for the worst and hoped for the best.
Once at his destination, he stood with his cane in hand, using all of his remaining strength to hold himself up and focused all he had just to stand and wait. He took the letter out of his pocket and looked at it. It was a letter that contained his most private thoughts when he was back home. These thoughts he couldn't shake. Despite that she assured him that she was okay with him leaving, he didn't feel okay about it. His OCD wouldn't allow him to simply forget.
As he waited, his thoughts were everywhere. He was a mental wreck and he was nervous. "Just a few more minutes. You can't collapse now. Stand for her. Show her that you're not a coward and stand. Damn this hurts! But I can't give in." If it wasn't the pain that was going to force him into submission, his nerves certainly would.
He had the chocolates that he made with Sebastian inside a small paper box that he made, and held them by the ribbon tightly. He made a few of these boxes for others that he felt were his closest friends and each contained at least three large pieces. Sebastian had the rest. It was a secret that he swore he would never tell. So many promises, so many secrets. Today, he was going to reveal his biggest one. And he was nervous.
