Rating: PG
Warnings: Two gentlemen out for a stroll? Surely there's no harm in old friends meeting...
Ludwig gathered up the least warlike clothing he owned--curiously, there had been a rather nice black dinner jacket and matching trousers in his closet when he arrived--and all his notes, maps, etc. As he dressed, he quickly sketched out and copied a set for England--then headed out toward Room 12-B to meet up with Arthur.
He felt a little nervous about this, even if England was from the future. He and Arthur had been on very friendly terms for years, ever since Ludwig was born, in fact--the English kings had been very Germanic around the time of the Deutscher Bund, after all, and there was a long-standing tradition of alliances with Prussia which helped to explain some of it, at any rate. Everything had been fine until Queen Victoria, the so-called Grandmother of Europe, had died--then her son King Edward VII had cozied up to France because of the cousin's rivalry he had with his kinsman, Ludwig's previous Boss Kaiser Wilhelm.
That had all led to war of course... But Ludwig and Arthur had stayed on pretty good terms, even through the first War, the madness in between, and the enmity of the current conflict. And why not? There were many ties between them culturally, and besides, they were both gentlemen.
Finally he arrived at the door to 12-B; Ludwig straightened his jacket and knocked politely.
