How long had L been back? How long had he been sitting there, just watching them all? Had he spent weeks held up in there without speaking to anyone? She could see that, easily. It wasn't as if she knew L very well, she'd been too nervous to talk to him before although she'd wanted to for literally years.
Now she could.
Now she had a valid excuse.
But her mouth...or L's mouth...was still very, very dry.
She was alone when she closed the door to the main suite behind her.
