Who: Edward Scissorhands and Hinata Hyuuga

Summary: Edward is very concerned for Hinata and has taken the role as her protector since Shukaku. He lost her once from termination, he is determined not to lose her again.
Rating: PG-13 just to be safe.
Warnings: A lot of revealed secrets and a very curious Edward will be exploring since he his completely human for this week.
Edward waited patiently and made certain that Victor was fed and put away before Hinata came to the door. He has been watching and felt very protective of her since the incident at Death City. He paced his room a few times and smiled as Victor purred in response to its meal. It's these little moments that made Edward think about what life would have been like if he had been human forever. Yet he knew that being in a place like this was his best option. He was locked away yet able to interact with people which made the stay much more bearable.
For the past four days, Edward had not left his room since his visit with Hinata. He didn't want her to feel like she was completely helpless yet at the same time, he has been keeping a close eye on her from his Faciliberry. Ever since he found her that day, she was all he could think about. He needed the time away to think about his options. Being covered in tribbles didn't help with his mobility much either.
He reached his hand up to touch the wall that he has been carving into with the faces of those that he became familiar with, friend and foe alike. He looked at Hinata's face that was carved into his wall and smiled. He was happy to have her back. With her gentle guidance, he was able to face the days that followed in honor of her memory. Now that she has returned, he hoped deep within that he could be more than just a friend to her. He knew he was imperfect and incomplete as his normal self though being human did open up the doors for a new possibility. Even if it was only for a week.
Although he was powerless, he held a strength that was unsurpassed. He held firm to his belief that he can overcome any challenge that the doctors throw at him. He became determined and stalwart in his silent fight to help those that need it most. He was now a permanent resident in this place with no home to return to yet his home is where he chooses to make it which adds to his determination just how much further he was willing to go to make living here for others easier. It was a constant struggle though he refused to give up.
He reached for the door handle that Winry had made for him that allowed him to enter and exit his room without trouble for his normally bladed hands and sighed. He closed his eyes and gave a silent thought to his friend that had gone home. "You will never be forgotten as long as I remain."
