Aoko moved through some rather think bushes as she continued her search for her missing magician friend. She was tired and covered head to toe in dirt stains, though miraculously, nothing resembling zombie residue could be found on her ( ... )

Willy had heard the rustling in the brush and a girls voice in the distance that carried on the wind. 'A conversation? Out here? Heavens...no. Not likely.' With this thought in mind, he decided to investigate. He knew that not a lot of people came out this far other than to have some private time but this was now Zombieland and private time had to be handled in other ways.

His eyes were focused ahead with his paddle in hand and now with a predatory gaze on his brow. His jovial spirit gave way to focus right at the moment his purple eyes saw the zombie and a girl talking to it.

He pushed through the brush quietly yet quickly. In a few short moments, he located the girl and her supposed conversation partner. He raised himself and lifted the paddle over the monster's head behind it as the girl was talking to the creature. With a good solid whack, the metal came in contact with a resounding bong as the steel made contact with the hard bone of its head ( ... )

Aoko's eyes widened as the thing crumpled to the floor and looked up at the one who had done it. Her eyes narrowed and something like fire erupted in her brilliant blue eyes.

"Why would you do that!? even if he couldn't answer you didn't have to hit him!"

He looked down at the creature and the looked back at the girl. "Uh, in case you hadn't noticed," he stepped away from the creature out of it's reach, "that's a zombie." He pointed his finger at the creature. "Can't you tell by it's glowing skin?" He tilts his head with a grin.

"And yes, I had to hit him. Know why? Know why?! Because it was gonna make you his meal! Haha! Not a good thing out here. Those things are gross and you're lucky you hadn't been eaten yet. Say," he tilts his head with a curious expression, "how did you get this far anyway?"

Aoko blinked incredulously at him. It was a zombie? She pushed the thought of being eaten out of her head and looked back down at the thing before looking back up.

"...I walked." She answered simply, suddenly remembering who she was looking for. Her expression changed from confused to pleading as she seemed to have forgotten all about the zombie. "Have you seen a boy with crazy hair and probably up to no good?"

The zombie started to stir again and once more he hit it with the shovel head of the paddle and it stopped moving. "Stay dead!"

He looked up at the girl, having heard every word she said and gave an expression of Are you talking to me? "Huh? Oh, yeah...uh...sorry. I hadn't seen anyone like him around."

His expression became one of concern as he looked at the girl. "Listen. If you want, I can accompany you in finding him. The freaks are coming out and I can't in good conscious let you go alone. I'm Willy Wonka." He wiped his hand on his white coat and held out his hand with a sheepish chuckle.

She winced and looked back at the zombie, discouraged at his answer.

"Oh... I'm Aoko Nakamori." She forced a fake smile as she shook hands with him. "I'll probably need all the help I can get... I have a really bad feeling about this whole thing..."

He nodded his head and still smiled despite now the grim job that he had to take. He was a weaponless meister and to make matters worse, his candy-making career had to take a backseat to this grim task of zombie hunting.

"You're not the only one. I certainly hope that the good doctors have a better plan next time. Besides, I don't know how much I can take of this nonsense." He really wanted to help her feel better but he really didn't know what was going on to help out efficiently.

"So," he began walking away from the corpse and toward the street again where it was relatively easier to fight the walking dead, "where was the last place you saw this guy you're looking for?"

She followed after him and looked around for more zombies but it seemed to be clear for now.

"I saw him just last night." She admitted, a small blush forming on her cheeks. "He-he and I always stayed together, we even slept together so we'd both stay safe." She felt her eyes stinging as that had obviously done nothing. "I guess it was in vain... he promised to protect me and now..." Her voice broke off and she stared intently at the ground.

Willy had stopped in step and looked at Aoko. He didn't have much in common when it came to relationships and he offered very little when it came to how to cope with the loss. He's not entirely sure how to respond but he does the best he can.

"Well, for starters, he's not a zombie." Willy smiled. He tried to lighten the mood. "He wouldn't be that stupid."

"No..." Aoko admitted. "He probably wouldn't." Somehow she felt that the idea of those awful doctors getting a hold him was worse. At least if he was a zombie he'd probably just come back with the reset.

"I-I don't know what to do... I've never-never been with out him." She felt tears running down her round face and wiped them quickly away. "I've known him since we were six. How can he just be gone?"

Willy's own expression started to look sad. He clinched his fists at his side and took a deep breath. How can he comfort someone that he barely knows? The pain of his own loss crept up on him as thought about Charlie.

He extended an arm out and placed it on her shoulder gently. "It's always the unknown that makes us worry about our loved ones the most. You know....I've heard rumors that even if the doctors did take him, he's probably back home doing what he does best. I'm sure that he's waiting for you and is thinking about you right this very moment.

You're not that far away from each other." He gave a calm smile. "He's in your memory and he's in your heart."

She wiped more tears away and nodded. But how could these horrible people be so kind as to just send him home, it didn't seem likely.

"b-but now who's going to protect Aoko?" she sobbed. "Neither Daddy or Hakuba-kun are here and now Aoko has no one. He's-he's just gone..." her shoulders trembled as she kept walking, thinking about how he'd never again flip her skirt or call her names or tease her.

"Sh-should probably watch for more zombies." She pointed out weakly.

Willy mentally kicked himself for what he was about to say. His expression changed a few times before he looked ahead at the road and removed his hand from her shoulder. He gripped he paddle once again and was more focused this time. Yes, she was right. He would have to keep an eye out and continued his walk.

"I can help. I may not be the same as your friend but it's a start." He managed to smile. He hated to see her so sad. It bothered him that anyone felt sad around him.

"Eh?" Aoko blinked at the offer, a small light blush coming to her damp cheeks. He was right, he was nothing like Kaito but it wasn't like anyone was like that magician wannabe. "Thank you." She said softly, glancing a head as she realized she should do her share of zombie hunting as well.

His thoughts snapped to reality. His hands gripped the paddle and the rubber gloves gave to their squeaking from the pressure of his grip on the metal. He took a few steps forward in a long stride and gave another zombie a huge whack to the face, making it his thirteenth fallen zombie. The sickening crunch of the skull crushed under the force of the blow caused it to fall with a thud and a strange giggle from the insane candy maker.

"Whoopsie! You ran right into that one. Sorry. Haha! No homerun for you!" He looked over at Aoko with a giggle. "Kinda like a twisted game of baseball."
