"I'd hold you close and shout the words I only whispered before..."

Who: Kurama (laus_furtim) and Kuronue (fruct_bata)
When: Wednesday, following Kuronue's revival (backdating, ftw)
Where: Second floor (Suite 22, then to Suite 26)
Summary: Kuronue's back in the land of the living and Kurama's wasting no time in collecting his poor mutilated friend.
Rating: PG13? Maybe R for possible language and the bloody mess still in the room?
Warnings: Not as gory as last time, but still messy. Obviously, Facility does not list weekday cleaning ladies on the payroll. Also, Kuronue is still a sexy gutterbat. Injured or not.

Stealth and speed were two things that Kurama was known for. Even powerless, he was still a skilled thief at heart, and thieves knew well enough how to get by without being seen. He waied as long as he could bare for the footsteps outside to cease. Sneaking about in the middle of the day was an entirely different matter from lurking about at night, but he would have risked worse danger and still done the same.

Kuronue was alive. For the second time, his partner had cheated death, and there was no way that Kurama was going to leave him defenseless and waiting for a third try.

Slipping into the suite, Kurama hurried to room D, an uneasy feeling of deja vu hitting him. The blood was still there on the floor, marking the horrific scene. It looked no different from when he was there three days ago. He didn't want to think that the feed might have been a hoax. Bodies were brought back to life, the 'guide' he had been given said so, unverified though it was. But wasn't there a mention of doing so at the 'reset' time? Why would they bother in the middle of the week? And out of all those who had died, why Kuronue?

Kurama hesitated at the door, and hated himself for it. Even if it was a trap, was he going to risk the possibility that it wasn't? If Kuronue was actually on the other side of that door, alive and whole...

That was enough. Turning the knob, Kurama pushed the door open slowly, warily. "Kuronue?..."

kuronue, kurama
