With her bag swung over her shoulder, Winry left her room. It and all the things in the bag were the only things she had that had come from her world. Even then it was mostly tools and parts, but Eddie probably wanted to touch everything he could.

It wasn't her first time hanging out with Eddie, once she'd gone to fix his door, and made it so that it was easier to open with the hands his father left him with. When she'd first seen them, there was no horror about how they looked. Winry was used to seeing things - dangerous things - attached to people in such a manner. Sure she'd been curious as to how they worked, but the girl kept that part of herself back as Eddie was a sweet and innocent teen and didn't want to scare him at the time.

Tucked in one arm was sandwiches and fruit while the other had two bottles of water as she entered into the rec room and made her way over to Eddie. Sitting down next to him, there was a smile on her face as she looked down at his pictures.

"They're lovely, Eddie."

Edward smiled as Winry had entered the room. He remembered how she had helped him with his door, and her curiosity about his hands didn't bother him in the least. He appreciated her help and the way she made things easier for him.

"Thank you." He smiled as he watched her move to the seat next to him. He didn't feel nervous or uncomfortable, but he did feel a certain connection to Winry that was akin to being close to a family member.

He looked down at his papers and his smile faded slightly. "The doctors are cruel. They take people away."
