Loud voices bounced off of the walls, some aggressive while others seemed simply confused. Whatever it was that the Consortium had used on them, it was making half of the subjects lose their minds. Kazuya was rocking an imaginary baby, Hakkai was laughing constantly, and Shikmaru was forgetting things. The glowing skin was a distant, forgotten thought. Especailly when Jiraiya was seeing a cat that clearly wasn't there.
Tsunade let herself into suite 21, rubbing at her temple with her free hand. Why was it that everytime she heard more about her future, she had the urge to just hide somewhere and hope she was never sent back? This time she had her teammates with her, but it was cold comfort. Orochimaru was nine, and Jiraiya . . . it was odd. At least he wasn't a little kid. If he was, she'd still be trying to juggle all of this on her own, instead of rapping on his door and trying to not let her shoulders sag too obviously. The medic was tired, and it looked like it was going to be a long week. Komaki rustled her wings on Tsunade's shoulder. If the cat was real, the little monster she had rescued would see it.
