Is that why Lavi thinks he's always had cat ears? I didn't want to argue too much with him about it, but I know they definitely weren't there the last time we talked.

Mmm. I guess so. [Again, she reminds herself not to attempt to explain the truth. It would be too much work, and she's pretty sure she couldn't handle an argument right now anyway. It'll be a while before she fully recovers from the repercussions of wish week, and polite or not, the last thing she wants Bakura to see is her breaking down for the umpteenth time.]

Hmm? Oh. I'm fine. Just a little tired. [It's confusing, having him ask things like that. It makes her want to confide in him, but she knows he'd just see it as weakness later.]

Are you not sleeping well? My aunt used to make lavender tea when my cousins couldn't sleep and I know I've seen some in the greenhouse.

[ and about 20 minutes later, he's over with a bag full of fresh lavender and a teapot under one arm ]

I've still got left over cookies too, though they might be a little hard now. Would you like some?

Yeah, sounds good. And an empty bowl, if you could? It words best if you take the lavender off the stems, otherwise the tea is bitter.

[ he carries the teapot to the sink to fill it with water ]

[She nods and retrieves the bowl before slipping the cookies into the microwave to soften them up.]

Here you go. [After a pause.] Actually, is there any chance you want to stay for lunch? I prefer cooking for two anyway.
