What the hay is a rosary? Like something made of roses 'cause I bet there are roses in the park if you wanted some.

[Amy just blinks for a few moments. That's a new face. Seems they had gotten some more talking ponies. When she speaks her tone is very matter of fact, but one side of her mouth twitches up in a smile as she starts sharpening her stake again.]

A rosary is a string of beads used to count prayers in the Roman Catholic religion.

A... so it's like a... counting necklace? [This is All Star being REALLY CONFUSED what are any of those words even] Is this another weird human thing?

[Amy is quite amused by that.]

Yeah. Let's go with that. I don't use it for counting though.

So then... can't you just use any old necklace?

[She wonders if she should really explain it to this pony. Whether he would even understand the concept of using holy water to fight all sorts of unseemly things. But she's learned that, here at least, it's usually better to be up front with people... uh, ponies.]

No. You see, a rosary a special kind a necklace that allows me to make something I can use to kill monsters. That's my job, I'm a monster hunter.

Kill...? [That sort of takes the pony aback, and his ears flatten against his skull, wings rustling in discomfort] D'you have to kill them?

Well, yeah. [Amy feels a bit bad about making the pony upset. Sometimes she forgets that there are people- or ponies- that haven't had lives so accustomed to violence as hers. Her tone softens.] It's not like I really have a choice. If I don't kill them, they'll kill me and who knows how many other innocent people. I'm not saying I like it, but it's just something that has to be done.

How do you know they would kill people? That doesn't seem fair.

Because the way you usually find them is when they leave a body count. So by the time I've tracked them down I know they've killed before, because that's what led me to them.

Hm. I know. [She doesn't say anymore because really, what can she say? This has been her life for so many years and she's come to accept it. There's no two ways about it, she does what she has to do and she lives with her decisions.]
