[The 'berry turns on somewhere in the first facility, some desolate stretch of hallway, somewhere Mindy was pretty sure she could be alone. She doesn't notice when it falls to the ground, still staring at the note clutched in her shaking hand. There was something boiling over inside her, something beyond the usual pain and rage she felt when someone she cared about was lost.
This time she'd had to look at the body. She'd had to watch as Milla's still form had been slid into the incinerator's maw. And something...something not natural had been burning in her as she'd walked home to find the note on her bed.
Shikamaru and Temari had said to stay calm. They'd said to be careful, that the power she'd gotten from the week had been stolen from their home, from someone who'd had a lifetime of experience in holding down whatever was inside her now. Mindy, unfortunately, had never been very good at calm.
She makes a frustrated noise, leaning against the wall, her whole body shaking. There's light, faint and red in a nimbus around her.
The feed cuts just as she begins to scream, something between a young girl full of anger and grief with nobody to direct it at and an animal's howl. The red chakra around her brightens, a single tail of light extending from the region of her back.]
