Lois? I can't fly up to get you for some reason, you'll have to calm down. Flying is really easy when you get the hang of it, so don't freak out.

[wait a second. She could fly, she crushed whatever the building structure was with her bare hands, she could hear from this distance...]

[He stands up tall on a chair and holds out his arms, but she's still flying up too high.]

Only it's more of an unconscious kind of 'thinking', like when you think about walking or reaching for something. You just do it. Does that make any sense to you?

That's the advice I'm getting.

[So Lois would do that, stop over thinking things and will herself to move down. It wasn't like walking or swimming, those were bad analogies. There was no use of friction, no particular muscle control. This was quite literally exerting will over the laws of nature. And soon enough she drifted down, light as a feather on the wind]

[He smiles and reaches for her once she's close enough, wrapping his fingers around her wrist and trying to pull her down gently. Gently is a weird concept right now, since he's used to having a lot more strength.]

I'm guessing flying isn't the only power you've suddenly gained?

...It's not just not being able to fly. Everything is quiet, calm. I can't hear or see them.

The flying and laser eyes and strength don't make you Superman, it's what's in here. [she laid a gentle hand over his heart, astonished at hearing his heartbeat clearly, and perhaps even a spike in it with her words and touch]

[There was indeed a slight rise on his heartbeat. He wasn't as aware of it and he didn't have the same muscle control he had when he had his powers.

Lois could really have fun being hyper-aware of Clark's reactions this week if she so wanted.]

That's... really sweet of you to say. But I'm honestly relieved to get a rest- I suppose that's why this was my wish.
