Eleventh Null Session//Rose Lalonde\\Video

[The figure that appears onscreen in an empty, quiet part of the rec isn't one that can be easily recognized. A long, bright orange outfit covers their body, a matching hood obscuring the eyes. But from the large sun insignia, the blond hair, and the familiar colors and shape of the outfit, it shouldn't be too difficult to deduce. An unmistakable ( Read more... )

It does seem as though those words you spoke to me all those months ago weren't as off-base as my own fatalistic neurosis would have me believe.

[Rose grins, glad to see her friend's body breathing.]

What overdramatic Serketian sequence of events shall I incite to properly display the appropriate level of gratitude?

Please, I don't have time to be dramatic right now. But if you want, I stole some sarsaparilla and donuts from that town we were in. Before we blew it all to hell, I mean.

[a frown, unfortunately.]

By the way, we're probably not going to get to add anything else to our treasure hoards.

Then you could do without the theatric tinge on your lips.

[Rose pulls back to hood to reveal a full set of lavender eyes. Perfect symmetry after months of living with a clean hole in her head.]

I can see that, Vriska.
Although if you'll allow me, I'd like to voice that perhaps your making a hasty conclusion towards the supposed ill-fate of your beloved hobby.

[a good reveal. it makes Vriska smile a little, at least until she realizes that she has very little idea of what's going on.]

...Okay, did I do something to piss you off? Is it because I didn't talk about that music thing? Because I think I've been pretty friendly and undramatic so far.

[Rose waves the indication off.]

Sorry, I'm still getting used to the notion of my effervescent clairvoyance.

I'm just trying to advocate your resistance towards allowing yourself to fall victim to the suffocating feeling of predestination that has kept me so asphyxiated over the past seven months.

There may yet be frontiers going dangerously unplundered, begging the sweet embrace of a pair of thieving hands.

...You can see into the future, but you're still fighting back at fate. Is that basically the bottom line?

A course of action similar to those lines, however not nearly as linear as that.

The future is ever enshrouded as it might have been yesterday, or when a large population of reptillian lifeforms were carefully exterminated by one of the heavens' spare masses of metal.

What is clear to me now is the course of action needed to ensure and make that future happen.
The future that I want.
All of the moves that ensure checkmate are at my disposal.

See, was that so hard? All you had to tell me is that you're a prophetic badass now. Man. I hope there's still room for a Thief of Light in your master plans to bring everything down.

Or whatever future you're aiming for nowadays.

I wouldn't bet against it, Vriska.

Obtuse and often infuriating references to the act of gambling must be a constant among those with heightened foresight.

I'll make sure to put my utmost effort toward keeping this a purely occasional instance.

Thank god. Being great to be around was basically the only thing separating you and him. [a brazen lie.]

[A fake look of shock.]
I had no idea I was treading so dangerously close to omniscient puppet territory!

Thank heavens one of such responsibility as yourself exists to reign in this precipitating runaway carriage I've so imprudently made of myself!

Yeah, you wouldn't be able to get anywhere without me. Don't worry, that's natural. This whole place would still be stumbling over their own feet and drooling uncontrollably if I'd never shown up.
