[When the video comes on, Kate is asleep. The device is next to her and she probably turned the video on when her left hand hit it. In her right in a pair of sunglasses that anyone who met Clint last week should recognize. A minute or so passes before she finally stirs, sitting up and looking around. The purple blanket that was around her slides

[It's a few minutes later that she responds and when she does she's pulled her hair back into a loose ponytail. The sunglasses are nowhere to be seen]

Hey Riku. What's up?

[the_daybreak]

[He looks pretty terrible, but also somewhat concerned.]

You okay?

[artemisaim]

[Sorry Riku but admitting that she's upset? Not something Kate's good at]

Mhmm, fine. What about you? You don't look very good.

[the_daybreak]

[No, understandable.]

I... no, it's not a big deal. Just had kind of a... run-in, I guess.

[artemisaim]

[It's just so much easier for her to worry about other people than it is to let them worry about her]

A run-in? You're not hurt, are you?

[the_daybreak]

No, I'm fine. I just... before reset, well... I kind of had a discussion that didn't go over very well.

[Honestly, if she should be asking someone if they're hurt, it should be Joshua, given the punch Riku gave him.]

Ah, okay. That kind of run in. I won't ask if you don't want to talk about it. But if you do, you can.

[Sometimes punching people in the face is really therapeutic isn't it? And sometimes it just kind of makes you feel worse]

...Hey Riku, did anyone from your world come in during the trip?

[the_daybreak]

I just... someone asked me to forgive them. I'm still... not sure what I want to do about it.

[He felt better for a little while, a little while being the moment it connected. Now he's just confused.]

... Yeah, he did. But he's gone.

That sounds hard. Sometimes forgiving people really isn't easy. Maybe you just need to give it time.

I'm sorry. I know everyone said not to get attached to the people they brought in for the trip but...it's a lot easier to say that than it is to actually do it.

[the_daybreak]

It really is harder, isn't it?

I guess... we'll just have to get un-attached again.

[artemisaim]

I guess so. [She sighs and runs a hand through her hair] It sounds so depressing when you say it like that, though. But I guess...we should just be happy that we got to spend the time with them that we did, right?

[the_daybreak]

... I know it does. I'm sorry. But... yes, you're right. Memories are precious.

[artemisaim]

No, it's okay. You don't have anything to apologize for. It is what it is.

I'm kind of glad, though, that I got to talk to him. It was sort of comforting while it lasted.
