... We're still here, strange.

[He's never seen quite a spell last this long for so many people so either the caster is more powerful than imagined or well... they have to wait longer. He goes wandering off in another direction, as the 'berry shows.]

I wonder what he'll want for breakfast today...

Oh? Perhaps you can help me, then. I heard from a few that this is only temporary?

[the_daybreak]

For you, yeah. As long as you've got a collar that isn't black, you'll be going home.

[notatthetavern]

[The collar's rather loud and obnoxious, and it only makes the bandanna around his neck stick out a little more. He does prod at it when it's mentioned.]

Well that's a relief. [And then--catching the color of the collar the stranger has on.] Ah-- sorry, I didn't mean to...

It's okay.

[He lifts his hand to brush his fingers across it -- it's not often black, but either way it's not a great thing.]

I'm glad, for all the people who are only here for a little while.

[Listening to the other, he turns quiet.]

It's that bad here?

To be frank, sometimes, yes.

[He shrugs.]

These past weeks haven't been so bad. There have been some horrible ones, though.

Not really. I can tell you, if you're interested.

Maybe just a summary?

We had a week where we were all put in torture chambers. There was also a week where... I was set back in time and completely hopeless. I mean, that one was bad in particular for me, but.

There was also a week a virus entered the facility. I was affected and had to... ask someone to kill me.

That's-- That's more than horrible, than words can describe. [The grimace on his face helps to vocalize that inward concern.]

I have. The doctors bring you back after a few days, in most cases.

Still, it sounds less than pleasant. Think I'll stay alive while I'm here.
