So, um... I assume by the fact that Despair's been weakened again, I'm in a clean room, and even my satchels have been cleaned out that I was terminated. It looks like they haven't gotten rid of me yet, though

[She doesn't even reply, just gets up and leaves her room (for the first time in days) and begins looking. Maka watches the video long enough to realize that Helion remembers and to take the collar number down.
A few minutes later there's a frantic knock at her door.]
[It takes a few seconds for Helion to process what happened, but after a bit she hugs Maka back. She has no idea how long she's been gone, but she can tell it's been too long from that. She's just going to keep doing this as long as possible.]

[Maka isn't letting go anytime soon, and without even thinking about it she begins patting the other girl's hair as if to reassure herself she's real.]
[Yeah, not resisting the hugs at all. You're special, Maka.]
Well, I can't promise to leave ever again, but I can promise that if they do take me out again, I'll do my best to get back here as quickly as possible. I'll be back so fast you won't even notice I'm gone!
This place is home, Maka. I won't leave it if I have a choice, and I'll protect it with everything I have until we can keep it safe from the Consortium.
[Helion looks like she's about to say something, but stops herself. If Maka wants to differentiate between them, it's fine. The meaning's the same either way: When it comes down to it, home is wherever the family is.
None of the people have anywhere to go back to, so for them, this place is the closest thing to home they'll have until the Consortium's defeated. It might seem strange to consider this place home with the Consortium in charge, but people never have the liberty to choose their homes, and the ruling body never spare a thought to those under them. To Helion, this place was home just as much as anywhere else -- even if she had to protect it from the people in charge of the house. It was like that for most of her life as it was, anyways.
Still, Maka must have suffered a lot while Helion was gone. Helion would have to work hard to make up for it. For now, all she can do is hug Maka a little tighter, a small reassurance that she's here.]
Of course. I intend to stay home as long as possible.

[And Helion dashes over to throw open the door.]

...Well, it's Maka, so it's... probably okay. So she's just going to... tighten that hug a little.]

Umm... Sorry for taking so long. I'm home now.
[That... is the appropriate response, right?]

This...[And she squeezes Helion just a little more, rubbing her back.] This is home.
