[Artemis flexes his wings, looking back over his shoulder at them with a curious expression. They were darker than most of the ones he'd seen, though gradually grew lighter as they neared the tip, ranging from black to a dull gray, with a small smattering of nearly white feathers at the very bottom. Finally he looks back to the screen.]

If I had to go through growing these things out of my flesh I want to at least get one go on them. Can anyone with wing experience offer any guidance?
