It's... it's my birthday.

Hell's bells, I'm thirty.

[Heather's smiling back, but you can't tell with the mask on]

Oh wow, happy birthday! Thirty, huh? Should I be worrying your hip is gonna give out or something?

[she giggles a bit]

Where's your room? I'm coming down there with birthday chocolate. No is not an option.

Nope. Wizard. Magic in the body regenerates cells, I'm gonna look like this til I'm eighty, then I'll do the dignified salt and pepper thing until a hundred twenty or so.

Well, if you insist. [He grins] I could use a distraction from what's going on.

Well, I'm not gonna lie and say that's not awesome or anything. [he taps her chin, thinking about it] Huh. Salt and pepper would be a good look for you. You'd have all the ladies falling all over you. You know... the ones with daddy complexes.

[she grins in return, rummaging around in her drawer]
Two candy bars coming right up. You like Hershey's, right? If you say no I'll shoot you right in the face when I get down there.

[she's already heading down the hall]

Ew. I'm good with the one lady I've got right now.

You have hershey's bars? This calls for a celebration. I'm taking the burgers out of deep-freeze.

[Heather laughs, and knocks on the door]

Seriously, burgers? I haven't had a burger in... oh god, you're going to make me cry outta sheer joy, you know? Totally embarrassing.

[Harry's got an absolutely goofy chef hat when he answers the door, along with a crude metal spatula. In one corner of the room is what looks like the love child of a stove and a satanic ritual, four glowing pentagram-based carvings heating a frypan like burners as Harry pulls the frozen burgers out of the freezer]

They've been pretty damn well frozen, so it might be a bit, but they'll be good.

Come on in! [He grins]

[Heather actually laughs pretty hard at the sight of him in a chef's hat, but she comes in anyway, candy bars in hand]

How can a burger not be good? Especially after those crappy food bars they're expecting us to eat. Are the like, made out of cardboard and styrofoam, or what? Because I always feel like dying when I eat one.

[she holds out a Hershey bar to him]

Emilia once tried making them into oatmeal. It, ah... wasn't an improvement.

[He takes the candy bar] Before dinner?

I like that idea. [He tosses a burger onto the grill, taking the tiniest of bites from the chocolate. Force of habit, in this place, eat as slowly as possible when you've got real food.]

[Heather chuckles at that and then nods]

Well duh. Of course before dinner. What's the fun in following the rules, ya know?

[she opens her own candy bar and takes an enormous bite, grinning happily as the chocolatey taste spreads over her tongue]
