Where? Looking at scars, it's not hard to figure out what actually happened. I've had to do it before, when victims are dealing with repressed memories.

But I think I've figured a few things out.

You and I have both repressed something, Lucy. I thought... I was sure I'd been hit by shrapnel or something in the attack, it took a minute for the memory to form but then I latched on to it, and it hurts to question it.

Victims of horrible crimes will make up whole elaborate alibis, full of details of what exactly they were doing, wearing, thinking when the crime was committed, complete fantasies just so they don't have to acknowledge what happened.

[Harry closes his eyes, and takes a deep breath.]
