The Video Blog of Dr. John H. Watson - Post 006 - The Science of the Wild West
[This is his first blog since his 'accident' and he's excited to make it, judging by the particular smile he's got on his face. The background is mostly brush and a lot of expansive blue sky. John's got his Stetson on, cocked to block out the sun. His voice, for better or worse, is extra deep and a bit gravelly. He doesn't sound at all like himself. That doesn't seem to bother him.]
I've decided that this place is fantastic. It's more than the weaponry or the soft drinks or the rainbow coloured fruit bars, more than the tumble weeds and the saloons and the extravegant belt buckles. And well, all right. I'll concede that it might have something to do with the flat screen televisions and holographic glass windows at the pub and the cowboy boots. It's almost beyond imagining.
Hasn't been all fun I suppose. Hopped on the hover-bike--
[He pans the camera over the motorcyle he found in the hangar. It has no wheels at all but when turned on, it hovers a few feet over the ground.]
And Sherlock and I hit a sort of wall after a few miles out. Hadn't been paying attention how far out, really, and waking up with what felt like a hang over hasn't prompted me to try again. Sherlock thinks it's a bit telling, the limits of the technology and so forth. We think that the use of science fiction technology in a Western setting might also be a mistake.
Having spent a great deal of time in town watching animated commercials with cartoon characters and drinking out of aluminium cans, I have to say that the interns, or what have you, are messing up aga--OW!
