[ An momentary pause when he takes a look around, he can spot a few buildings but all in all the place is rather deserted looking as far as he can see. ] -- though it is good to see a familiar face --[ That 'I'm very British and charming' smile crops up; though it's temporary because he's frowning again a second later. ]-- I must confess I've no idea where I am-- it looks like a bloody barber shop of some sort--

[ His relief at finding the other man to be in no apparent state of harm-- apart from whatever trouble that they both seem to be having with these communicator devices-- is rather significant, and he gets a better grip on the device, trying to make out any sort of detail of Charles' location. Barber shop-- surely that could be simple to find. ] I'm at what could be a saloon-- place. [ He stops to take in the surrounding landscape, not all that visible due to it being night, though he can make out the stretch of a desert into the distance, and the shapes of the town's buildings-- slung low against the sand and all quite like a scene from a Hollywood Western set. The rest of the place is generally nondescript in the darkness, devoid of any real landmarks that would enable them to set out a meeting place. ]
Charles-- can you hear me? [ He looks into the communicator, frowning. ] Anything yet? [ He's paused in the center of the road, aiming a spiteful kick at a tumbleweed. ]

Glad to see you seem to be in one piece also. [ Tipping his head up he notes that Erik has a collar in addition-- something his thoughts had alluded to-- and he frowns at the numbers on it. Twisting his own a little deeper under his dress shirt-- perhaps if Erik already didn't know now was not the time to bring it up. ]
It feels like we've been dropped into a poorly done film, doesn't it?
