[ Two bloody, tiny hands wipe at the smears of red on the communicator's camera before frantically bringing it closer. Tiny 6 year old Soul's face is soaked with tears, a few smudges of blood on his chin. The view shakes in his trembling hands and two more sobs shake his body. ]

[And for good measure, she'll swing by Soul's room too--checking out his collar number. Before sprinting up to 38A, not even bothering to knock. Rachel is a petite late 20's woman with black boots and leggings, a denim skirt, black turtleneck, blue hoody and brown coat. And a nicely cobbled together med-kit, that's a bit more than the standard.]

I'm going to need towels, and what has been done for her, if anything, so far?

Then get me towels, now, and get some water bottles from the cafeteria. That'll help most of all.

[The broken arm and hand are the least of the injuries. Stop the bleeding first, then deal with the wounds, especially the head-wound, then the broken ribs. Wow, this was quite a job.

Her voice is quiet, Rachel carefully leaning closer against Maka's chest, listening to her heartbeat and breathing.]

Maka...I need you to take deep breaths...I'm sorry they'll hurt, but I'm trying to assess your injuries.

[Maka does so, ignoring the pain. She doesn't really mind the pain. It's not so bad, but maybe the blood loss has something to do with that.]

[ Soul returns with so many towels that he bumps into the door first before managing to hand them over. As soon as they're in Rachel's hands, he dashes out to get the water. ]

[Rachel is listening intently, grateful for enhanced hearing that means no stethoscope is necessary. Her pulse is weak, but her lungs are clear, even if the breathing is labored. That's good, as it means that while she definitely has broken ribs, they're not threatening her life. Yet.]

Thanks Maka, I know it's hard...but stay with me. We need to stop the bleeding, and you're going to have to stay still. I don't want to move you until I know for certain it's safe to do so.

[One of the towels is opened, spread out and being used to wipe the blood away from the gash, letting Rachel see it more clearly---oh...yeah, that's gonna require stitches.]

[ Soul rushes back with his arms full of water bottles and quickly sits next to Rachel and Maka. ]

[Well, if that's what'll keep him calm, Rachel won't object. If he wants to help though, she'll tell him what to do.]

Open one of the water-bottles, I wish we had an easy way to heat it, but we don't, so we'll make due. Wet one of the clean towels, and help me carefully and gently clean around the gash here. Then take another towel, and apply pressure to it, so we can try and staunch the bleeding. It's...going to require stitches, so I'm going to go wash my hands, then prep for that.
