From what little I know about this place, being here a year...You have resolve. Just don't lose it. [That was the extent of complementing, rare as it was, that Lighting could do.]

[She crosses her arms over her chest, studying the girl through the screen.] I doubt someone could change to being completely unrecognizable.

Yeah. I've just done some things that make me wonder if they'd forgive me. I know that they would, but it would take time.

Everything takes time.[A shrug. What could this girl, that looked younger than Light, have possibly done that could not be forgiven. Light figured it wasn't her business to ask.]

Yeah, but it's harder when the people you care about aren't around for you to explain things to.

[She narrows her eyes, looking thoughtful] Yeah, I know what you mean.

I guess...you're just going to have to trust them. [Says her. Who barely trusts anyone.]

I do. I trust my friends completely. Here you can't help but trust people, since the people around become like family.

But at the same time, trust is earned, isn't it?

Not everyone can be trusted, especially in a place like this...

I'm sure I can trust the people I know. They are pretty important to me.
