You rats are all quiet this week. [Justin is not quiet. He's loud and on the verge of laughing. He's in a rather dark building somewhere.] Are you that scared of the punishments?
[Right now, he isn't fighting it, doesn't realize he can't fight it. He doesn't know about Soul's black blood, or Black☆Star and Death the Kid's inherited insanity. If he did, that is what he would compare this to. It's just for power, just for strength, he can stop whenever he wants. That's what he would say.
He catches the pole in one hand, and it should hurt but he can't feel any pain. Without letting go, he transforms his hand into a lunette and alters the size of the opening to be small enough to hold the pole.
And then Maka's wavelength hits him and it's instinctive to try to match up with her, and she does get through to him, just enough that the anti-insanity wavelength knocks him off his mental course and he is very suddenly aware and he very suddenly realizes something is wrong.
(Suddenly, he is in a stone corridor, in full weapon form, the witch Medusa standing there and Tezca standing there and he isn't sure what is really here anymore).
He lets go of the scythe and stumbles backward, a breath of water leaving him in a startled rush.
[Yes! She feels it, feels him reach back, and drops the inadequate weapon to her side, focusing now on reaching for him with her wavelength alone. She throws herself and her feelings into the wavelength, willing them to reach him and pull him back.
It's me Justin, please stop fighting me. I won't let it have you.
She doesn't want to fight him, but just wants him to come back. If he can find himself and push the madness away, then it'll be okay.]
[He is aware of everything around him. Maka is standing there, he is standing here, they are in an F3 and breathing underwater.
(His full weapon form is awkward, but he is still on guard. Suddenly he sees Lord Death, and even through the mask he can tell the god is angry. Justin's own smiling face tilted up to the Clown and "Oh Lord! Now I am together with my Lord!")]
N-no... Stop it!
[He steps away from Maka, trying to block out her wavelength (he brings a hand to his head, trying to force Tezca's illusions away).
What is he doing? (Why? Why did he betray his god?)]
Justin! [That time hurts more than before and she winces, her wavelength faltering for a second before she picks it up again. if she can just make him unable to speak...but how? How could she without seriously injuring him?
He snaps a blade forward at her, letting it out on a long chain. He's finding his center again, dragging himself out of whatever just happened to him.]
[She jumps back, barely missing the attack, and flinching when the blade just catches her side. Maka retracts her wavelength and puts her guard up, the scythe placed again in a defensive position.
If she can't reach him, she'll just have to find some other way to keep him from talking.]
[It catches her scythe instead when she uses that to block, but it has the same effect of pulling her forward. No way is she letting go of her weapon.]
Drop it. [She's his meister. (He doesn't need anyone.) That isn't even a real Weapon. (He doesn't care.) She's his meister. (Justin Law, autonomous death scythe.) She's his doesn't need a meister he works with her she offered he should have refused she can't be isn't is his meister just for a little while what a joke]
[She grits her teeth and refuses to let go, and again reaches for his wavelength. Maybe if she can't reach him, she can at least distract him for long enough to knock out.]
[He syncs up with her again (stone hallways, blood in his eyes) (somewhere locked deep inside his soul something is waking up and screaming) and pulls her closer. He reaches with his free hand to grab her by the collar and (this is a headbutt of love!) crack their skulls together.]
[The blow jars her enough to break her grip on the scythe, and she drops it. She does however manage to aim a kick straight for his chest, aiming to get away.]
Bring you back, idiot! [As soon as she says it, she wishes she hadn't. The cuts are beginning to get deeper.]
[The kick connects, and while he does double over gasping for breath, possibly badly injured but it doesn't hurt, he does not let go of her. There is strength in insanity, but this isn't the strength he wanted. He's slipping more and more (it really does feel like slipping, like the floor has tilted sideways and he can't stop sliding) and he lets go of the scythe and flings it out of the way but doesn't turn his fist back from the lunette. He'll try and punch her in the stomach, then throw her down and aim another blow at her head.]
[There's no way to avoid the punch to the stomach (and it hurts more thanks to the already bleeding wounds) since she can't exactly dodge, and she falls to the floor in a heap, rolling to the side to avoid the second more dangerous blow. Maka scrambles to her feet, eyes searching for the dropped weapon.]
[She's reaching for the fake weapon (he shouldn't care) and so he flings a blade at the handle of the scythe. The edge is glimmering blue with his wavelength, and even though his aim is sloppy it should be able to cut through the metal when it hits.]
[She watches as the scythe handle breaks off, pulling back before he can follow up with a blow to her. Somehow, it's painful to watch and she isn't quite sure why, but she ignores the feeling for later, focusing instead om how she's supposed to fight him without a weapon.
She stumbles back a few steps to gather herself and try to think.]
