I finished up the war back home, tracked Ophelia down to the sea of tears, found out Harry was right about the demon thing.

That part is- complicated, kinda. But it ties into your second question at least. So I can answer it in one go. [He awkwardly scratches the back of his neck at this.]

We had a pretty big final show down, my army verses hers. Ironheade won, she and I exchanged a few words, she flew away, I followed after her to this big ass cathedral. More or less, we started throwin' insults at each other, I accused her of being a demon, of betrayin' Ironheade. [Though by this point he was already doubting the hell out of that idea. He awkwardly shrugs.] When the demon emperor decided to show up. Just turns out I was the demon in the midst of everyone. Ophs and Doviculus both more or less confirmed it.

[He awkwardly pats his shirt.] I'm apparently wearin' the last demon emperor's shirt. She, was my mom.
