[She doesn't APPEAR injured from what can be seen on the screen but appearances are always deceiving. Instead she's sitting at the table in her common room with various things spread across it. First is something that looks like a sign, followed by door hardware: knobs, latches and hinges, and last but certainly not least is bits of the ( Read more... )

[Machine-ladies have to stick together. Sexy definitely finds this woman interesting.]

Suite twenty-five. You can tell me what you can do in person. [Not that she isn't capable of making an unhackable filter.]

Understood. I will arrive in approximately 604 minutes.

[KOS-MOS disconnects and arrives in 603.34 minutes. There's a knock at your door!]

[Oh! That's certainly a lovely woman. Blue hair and very precise with time.]

The door is unlocked!

[KOS-MOS opens the door and steps inside. Her movements are fluid enough, but the way she just stands there... very rigid. She blinks, not actually needing to, for the sake of human appearances.]

Good afternoon. I am KOS-MOS. Please state the nature of your problem. I will determine the best way to assist you presently.

[Her head tilts as KOS-MOS speaks. Very advanced technology - possibly an AI.]

Good afternoon, I am the TARDIS. [Even though she's proud of her name this is one machine talking to another.] Currently I am attempting to construct a sonic screwdriver but the technology available is not nearly advanced enough.

I see. [All screwdrivers should be sonic. Way more efficient. KOS-MOS holds up her right arm] R-blade engage.

[What once was a hand and forearm is now a high-powered laser blade]

I can cut your materials. I would like to help you. I am available technology.

[Normal screwdrivers just can't compare at all. Hm, now that is impressive - a laser blade. She gestures to a pile of various metals, glass from the television screen and two wooden doors.]

All of them are marked where they need to be cut. [The TARDIS can't help but be curious about this being.] Does KOS-MOS stand for anything?

Understood. I am happy to be of service. [She scans the pile of materials, analyzing all the marks before moving to stand next to them.]

Yes. It stands for Kosmos Obey Strategic Multiple Operation Systems.

[To some the marks may seem random - tiny pieces of metal, rectangular shapes for the glass and one door is marked straight down the middle with two large squares cut out near the top while the second is being made into little strips.] We are built to serve.

Created by humans?

That is correct. I am an Anti-Gnosis Humanoid Fighting System, serial number
00-00-00-00-1. Development name KP-X. I was created by Chief Shion Uzuki of Vector Industries.

There's absolutely nothing those humans can't do once they put their minds to it. Are you the only one from your universe?

It appears so. I have done a thorough search and analysed the backgrounds of most subjects.

[She's silent for a long moment.] I am alone. [And without any elaboration on that topic, she gets to work cutting the pieces perfectly for her new acquaintance]

There are new arrivals once a month, perhaps someone will come. [That's sort of comforting someone, isn't it? She wasn't perfect at it yet. Oh, this might be something better to say.] Someone could be tracking you as we speak.

[She watches, intrigued by the laser blade not at all worried about the accuracy.] If you ever find yourself in need you can ask for me.

As unlikely as either of this situations are, it is comforting to calculate the possibility of locating someone I am acquainted with. However, as my primary objective is the safety of Vector Personnel, wishing for Shion's presence in this facility would directly conflict with that objective. I cannot allow her to be held in such a place.

[The TARDIS was the first person to ever offer her conditional assistance in a time of need despite KOS-MOS continuously making that offer to others. The android stopped what she was doing to turn and face Idris.] Thank you. Your concern is appreciated.

No one wants to end up in this place - it's so very wrong. Yet here we are. If she was to end up here then at the very least she would have you here to look after her.

[There's a smile on her face.] Everyone needs someone to offer and I'm so very used to looking after those I meet.
