Wind Waker:

As you know, I have been investigating the information leak for some time now. The last update discussed the possibility of the source of the leak being in the higher-ups, and have since been examining information to attempt to identify a leak in HEARTS.

This has been somewhat disrupted by the actions of Dualscar, but it's doubtful that he was involved in the initial information leak: He does not appear to have ever taken an interest in the management side in the first place, resulting in little information to pass on in the first place.

From my investigation, his primary motivation stems from his relationships: If he is to play an active part in the Rebellion, it's likely that he'll need to be in the same division as those other trolls. I suspect he would be more willing to participate if he were able to converse about it with them.

As for the results of the information leak investigation proper, I am ashamed to say that the results are inconclusive. While nobody in HEARTS seems to have been directly involved, it's impossible to verify, particularly with Kanra, who can only be verified by JOKERS.

Practically speaking, the most likely target of further investigation would be CLUBS. It's unlikely to be a higher up, but anyone involved in the actual delivery of the mail will need to know the locations of rebellion members. Since the operational staff consider the suite numbers to be our names, this is all they really need to identify us.

In this scenario, the ideal way to protect ourselves would be to create a "drop point" for mail to go to, but creating such a point will in turn wind up standing out and giving away people involved in the rebellion unless we can find a way to obscure the drop point. One possibility is to establish a "book recommendation" weekly newsletter, which Rebellion members can use to identify where their drop point is.

However, there is another possibility which I've been unwilling to acknowledge, but has a high probability of being true: It's likely that whenever someone disappears from the facility, it's because they're being investigated for connections to us. Any time a member of the rebellion goes missing for a long period of time, there's the strong possibility that they're being pressed for information, then having their memories erased and returned once they finish revealing information.

If this is the case, an information leak is almost inevitable, and there's no guarantee that we'll ever be able to keep anything from them in the long term. This does however, mean that their information is limited in the short-term: They will only have information up to the most recent disappearance. If we have an opportunity, we should exploit that.

Speaking freely, I feel that by this point, any traces of the initial leak have been lost: The high turnover rate of people around here means that it's entirely possible that the source of the leak has already been terminated by Val. Still, if anyone is still investigating it, feel free to offer them any information supplied.

[And resting in the envelope, is a card containing an image of a queen wielding a black sword.]
