[The feed suddenly starts showing nothing more then the bunk beds the Hiei and Yukina share. Nothing but the sound of Yukina whimpering can be heard. Then her arm slides off the bed. Her once teal kimono is now torn into pieces and soaked with blood, which has all but dried now.

[Peering into the screen is a very tired, unshaven Bucky, who does NOT look happy to have caught this on the network. He's stretched thin trying to look after people he doesn't like already, and he does sort of like Yukina... but she seems pretty badly hurt. Badly enough that he's determined to ignore any experiment-related urges to make sure she's okay.]

Miss Yukina? Have you gotten medical attention? Is everything okay?

[He's not sure who Hiei is, but he doesn't bother to ask, just sighs and runs a hand through his hair.] Experiment's been rough on all you nice-types so far.

Hit Girl? The twelve year old? [Well, she's relatively capable, but you can hear the skepticism in his voice.] Alright. But if you and her get in over your heads or you start getting 'friendly', you call me, alright? I'm not sure she can handle anyone with powers, but I can.

I'm fine, just haven't slept much. Playing bodyguard all over the place this week.

No offense meant, kid. Well, maybe a little. Being an asshole to everyone this week is my primary defense mechanism against the experiment.

I don't have powers, remember? But I have a hell of a lot of experience dealing with metas. I'm gonna trust you to take care of her, but if you two need backup, call me.

Well, one, call me 'kid' to my face and I'll stab you in the foot, powers or not. Two, you have a metal robot arm. That totally counts.

I win fights because nobody takes a twelve year old with no powers seriously. Nobody's coming through that door unless I say so, and if they try to hurt Yukina I'll gut them, magic or not.

[That's right, Yukina didn't consider that she might befriend Hit Girl. She was already grateful for the help. It wasn't fair. Yukina wanted to be friendly and make friends. This experiment was making it difficult.]

I will. I will... be more like my kind. [Yukina's eyes began to glow a bit.] I don't want to fight anymore.

Please rest. You will only hurt yourself if you don't.
