The lawn of Avenger's Mansion is full of the sound of screaming and laughing children. Tents and balloons litter the grass, and bubbles float through the air. It's an important day after all.
Eight year old Billy seems at home here, and he should, after all, this party is for him and Tommy. Speaking of, he looks around for his twin, but can't see him with all these other children around. He does spy mother though, and a grin spreads across his face as he runs to see her.
She's standing with Wasp (wasn't it Wasp the last time he dreamed this), but she ducks to scoop Billy up, holding him close.
"Lord, Wanda, look how big he's gotten," Wasp exclaims, and Billy leans shyly into his mother's shoulder, "He's growing like a weed. And those eyes of his...he's going to be a real lady-killer...a regular Hawkeye junior."
Wanda laughs and shifts Billy in her arms.
"Well, I can't take credit for those, Janet. Truth be told--"
No. No no no, this is where it always went wrong, this was-
Billy was crying before he even saw the looming presence that had appeared behind his mother, all ready knowing what was coming. "He has his father's eyes!" she says, and Mephisto grins behind them as Wanda moves to pass a struggling Billy into his arms.
[The dream ends abruptly, as it always does, Billy awaking and feeling as though his heart is in a vice.]
