[listen to how weary Vriska sounds! it was a long week, but she toughed it out. barely.]

Everybody who hit their button last week better report in right now.

If I've never heard of you, I probably don't care if you hit it or not. Use your brain. If something happened to you that didn't happen to anyone else, that's the only thing I care about.

I pushed it. I get the impression that everyone had a different way of dying, so your question of something different happening is rather moot.

Forgive my curiosity, but what's it to you?

Like I said, curiosity.

[Locked 20%]

They shaved my head and put it in a glass box. Dozens of syringes were left in my skin, dividing it up into squares. I was given a scalpel and told the key to unlock the box was located in my stomach. After a minute, they started filling the box with liquid mercury. I didn't have enough time to get the key out and tried to give myself a tracheotomy. Can't remember if I passed out due to blood loss or lack of oxygen.

Are you serious?
That sounds like something out of Wherein Multiple Victims are Placed in Traumatic and Frequently Ironic Situ8tions of Extreme Peril, Masterminded by an Elderly Diseased Troll with Little Else to Live For; Two Trolls are Ensconced Within a Load Gaper Cham8er and Given Contradictory Orders, One to Escape and One to Kill the Other Prisoner; a Puppet on a Three-Wheeled Device Features Prominently as an Avatar for Aforementioned Elderly Diseased Troll; No Fewer Than Two On-Screen Deaths; Several Instances of Physiological Horror; at Least Two Scenes Which Call to Attention the Distur8ing Psychological Implic8tions of the Elderly Diseased Troll's Methodology; 8ittersweet Ending and Unresolved Tension Which 8oth Serve as Fodder for an Inevita8le Franchise Wherein Each Film Will Focus More on the Ela8or8 Traps and Less on the Previously St8ed Deep Psychological Questions to the O8vious Detriment of the Overall Quality of the Franchise, Part 1.

[Patchouli switches to video. Her neck is wrapped up in bandages and, yes, she is indeed bald at the moment. She switches back over to text after a few seconds.]

Satisfied that I am not speaking in jest?

I didn't say I didn't 8elieve you.
Just that it sounded like something out of a movie.
May8e they're fans.

I kind of wonder if we could ever come up with something as 8ad as they could.

Forgive me. I took your comment as disbelief.

And yes, we could easily come up with as something as bad as they could. When I was clowned I got creative with how I dealt with Alex Mercer. Granted those were excruciating circumstances, but I will admit that the potential is in everyone, especially in this place.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was just thinking out loud.
Every8ody is awful deep down inside 8lah 8lah spare me that whole shadow 8usiness.
I 8et you won't push the 8utton again if it happens again.

That would be a bet you would lose. Given the circumstances I was in, I would gladly press the button a hundred times.

So are you just recreationally insane or is it a professional thing?

There was a clown outside my door, and I've learned enough about those things to learn that you can't fight them.

You picked the devil you didn't know?
That's the dum8est thing I've ever heard anyone do in this place!

So may8e I was wrong a8out you. :::;)

I'd say I knew both of them fairly well. The clown would most likely send me on a murderous rampage. I was clowned when I went after Terezi back in the labyrinth. The button would cause me to vanish, most likely to meet a grisly end somewhere else.

But regardless if I am foolish for putting others before myself, I guess I am an idiot.

Wow, do you just pay attention to the stuff I say that insults you?
I mean don't get me wrong I'd love it if you did.
It'd 8e pretty convenient!
8ut I just said I was wrong a8out you.
I'm pretty sure that means you're not an idiot after all.
At least not in the same way I thought you were!
It was a coooooooompliment.
