[Oh, hello, Facility. It's Remus, holding the screen loosely in the hand not holding his wand. He's walking slowly down a hallway somewhere]

If anyone would like, I think it would be wise to put up protective spells around your buttons. They don't seem... like the best way out of this experiment.

[He smiles, just slightly]

[His expression and voice still seem oddly vacant after witnessing the broadcasts yesterday, but he's making an effort to try and brush it off; he doesn't want to give the Consortium what they want]

Shield spells, mostly, yes. I've been practicing from textbooks I've gotten. Would you like some?

[He nods]

Yeah. There's no way in hell I want anyone pressing that thing...

[He hesitates for just a moment, but he'd rather have protection for both him and Izaya than worry about Remus knowing where his room is]

I'll come down in a few minutes. [Remus just smiles mildly. He's really not a very threatening figure, which should help slightly.

And true to his word, he's knocking on the door in a few minutes, robes hanging loose around him]

[It does help a little...though Darc knows better than anyone that you can't make judgements based on appearances alone. He moves to open the door on hearing the other boy's knock and stands back to let him enter. He looks sort of washed out and tired, but at least he's not avoiding other people entirely]

[Remus notices how tired he is as he steps into the room, eyes finding the button easily] It won't take long. ...would you like to come to dinner tonight? [It might help the poor man relax]

Hmm. [He nods in response to the first comment...though he hesitates on hearing Remus' question. He doesn't like being around groups of people at the best of times, and knowing that some of them have likely seen those broadcasts makes him even more reluctant. He did tell Izaya he wasn't going to let it get to him, but still...] ...I'm not sure.

The offer is open, if you do want to come. It should be relaxing. [He offers Darc a smile, moving toward the button. Want out, he begins to murmur the spells in a soft voice-- then stops, turning toward Darc] If you'd like... I could make it so most people can't see it to begin with. I think you should be exempt, but I'm not sure. Shall I try?

Hmm. I'll think about it. [And he really will, even if he's not sure how well he'd cope with it right now. He supposes he could always leave. A little of the blankness recedes him his expression as he watches the other; Remus' method of utilising magic interests him, given that its different from his own. He thinks a moment on hearing the other's question before making any kind of response]

Can you do that along with something else as well? Just in case someone can't see it, and accidentally knocks it, or something. [Not that he and Izaya let many people come in here, but still...someone might get in...]

Well, the spell itself is a sort of... repelling spell. It makes non-magic-users suddenly remember important previous engagements and leave. But the other enchantments should function like barriers and prevent it from being accidentally pressed regardless.

[He blinks a bit - its not like any magic he knows of - then nods] Do whatever will make it safer.

Alright. [Remus sets up both of the mentioned spells, waving his wand in criss-cross motions like weaving over the button. The air is noticeably magical around it, slightly shimmery for the moment he mutters the words. A minute or so later he's done, and the button's disappeared from sight]

When you're near it, you should be able to see it, but it will be hidden from most other people. Is that alright?

[Darc watches with a flicker of mild interest as Remus sets up the spells, then nods in response to his question]

Yeah, that's alright. Anything that'll make it safer. [He pauses a moment before asking] Can you do the one in the next room for me, too?

Of course. [Remus sees nothing odd about this. Probably a friend, and may as well get it done while he's here.]
