(The lens of the camera focused on a white ceiling, unable to move on its own to show the source of a man's voice who sounded confused.)
What the-- I don't remember sleeping here...
(Bed springs creaked.)
No windows? And the room's all white. ... Bet Stein would like it.
(The screen blurs momentarily as it was moved by the red-head who held it, his

(Well, at least someone he knows is.)
That's fine, I can look for him later. Where am I?

ASURA?!! Asura's here?!!
(Panicking because AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Asura!)

“Okay, here's the deal. You've been whisked away from your home to a place we know as the Facility. There's no way out yet, we're working on it. That collar's not coming off, don't even try, but the number on it will let you know where you can stay. You're not the only one here, plenty of others are just as trapped. Here:”
[Spirit's device should ping with a Link]
“The file will explain it better than I ever could.”
[And I'm dating your daughter.]
“...And the name's Jet. You need something, just ask.”

(Spirit reaches for his neck; when his fingers felt a band around his neck, he tried tugging at it regardless of what the boy said.)
What the hell-- a collar?! I'm not a damn dog!
(The ping brought his attention back to the device. Fiddling a bit with the communicator to find out how to access the link, he finally opens the file and does a quick scroll to see how long it was.)
This is insane... Jet, right? You said there are others here--
(He hates it when other people are dragged into something terrible. Please, please, let it just be him who's here...)
Do you know if a girl named Maka is here, too?

[Jet just shakes his head; you're lucky that thing doesn't send shocks anymore.]
"Maka-"
[Jet hesitates; he can't just blurt out things as he did with Stein- not after the crazy antics of last week.]
"Your name is Spirit, right?"

That's right. I'm her father.

The facility set up in simple which makes it easier to make her way toward him, even as she drags a hand along walls and doorways to make sure she doesn't get off track. She stumbles several times but it's as much due to her pounding heart and the adrenalin surge shooting through her as it is the blindness]

It was worrying that Patti and Tsubaki were here; knowing Kidd, he'd be going in another asymmetrical fit since one of his guns wasn't with him, and who knows what Black Star will get himself into without Tsubaki? Jet hasn't responded to his question about Maka, but perhaps that was for the better.
Especially as Spirit reads through the information collected and organized by Shikamaru-- Azusa and him would get along swell--, the protective father in him reared its head with high hopes his daughter isn't here to deal with this Stein-esque mess.)

Coming.
(He placed the communicator back on the table and headed for the only way out of his room to open it.)
Who is--
(No.)
Maka!!!
