Cutting magic. It would be harder to defend against a real sword though. I only get close enough to cut up things with a real knife when I know they can't cut me back. [he laughs] or just to carve things up like apples.

Well, that's wise. There's no point foolishly rushing into something if there's a high likelihood of you getting hurt [Maybe he should try takign his own advice sometimes...] My Air Blade spell cuts stuff up, amongst other things...

Good! I can always use the practice. Though at home I wasn't fighting as much as I used to. [have a small fond smile, then turning serious] It's different here though. There are too many things that could really hurt my Youji. I have to be ready to protect him.

Yeah, you're right about that. It's best to be as prepared as you can be in this kind of environment. [A slight hesitation, and his voice comes out gruff and reluctant] Especially if you have someone you need to protect.

[He tilts his head a little]

I'm meeting my brother in the biodome in an hour, if you wanna watch. You can always show me what you're made of after that. Some other time is also fine though, whenever you're ready.
