Gah. That does not bode well. When they released the DVDs of Planet Earth for the US market they replaced David Attenborough's voice-over with Sigourney Weaver and 'dumbed down' the text of the narration. I was SO disappointed...
The implication from the quote from one American guy doing the adaptation seemed to be that French musicals are a lot like a chain of songs, but American audiences need more plot. I kind of wanted to kill him, actually.
There's actually a storyline in MOR, and while I admit act 2 is really rushed to shove a lot of plot into a small amount of time, I'm really worried about the fact that it sounds like they plan on just adding random crap to make it plottier.
