I hope this guy is more cooperative now. ... Though he's unconscious, so do you doctor-thing, will ya?

I went through enough fudging trouble to get him to the hospital.

I know him. Or, knew him, rather.

He was, until very recently, in my employ. What happened to him?

I found him wandering through the streets bleeding all over the place. Dragged him to the hospital, he's there now.

His tongue is missing. I don't know what happened to him, but it sure wasn't pretty.

His tongue?

So long as he isn't dead--that's all I ask--there are healers enough here who can mend any ill or wound, so long as he isn't dead--

They'll be off to fetch him back soon--what can I make of this? Is it a chance or just a chance to laugh?

I see. Thank you for bringing him to the hospital. I'm sure the doctors there will attend to him immediately. Perhaps I ought to speak to him too, though I doubt he could answer, missing a tongue.

I wonder more who injured him so.

I figured it might be good for him to see a familiar face when he wakes up. He didn't seem to like me much.

Well. He couldn't actually tell me, could he?

I wonder what he might think of seeing me there, though.

No, of course he couldn't, but you still might have seen something or know something. I know who didn't do it--

... Why? Did you have a fight or something?

No. I was occupied with getting him to the hospital. And I'm sure as heck going to find out more.

Something like that, yes. I did say he was formerly in my employ. I believe I will still pay him a call.

Of course. I am curious as to what happened and by whose hand.

Well, I quit a couple of jobs and I still get along with my former employers, so that formerly isn't really saying much. But yeah. At least he'll see someone familiar.

So am I. If he tells you something-- by whatever means - will you let me know?

It was more complicated than simply ending his employment with me, but that's a private matter. Yes, at least there will be someone familiar. I've tended to him when he was ill before.

Yes, I will, and if you would do me the same courtesy. To whom shall I address the information, if I should receive it?

I don't really care 'bout your personal problems, anyway. I just figured I'd be a nice guy and inform someone he knows.

Tony DiNozzo. And what's your name?

Thank you.

Cain Hargreaves. I'll pass along word, if there should be any, Mr. DiNozzo.
