I haven't been that involved in this case. The crime scenes were really like this?

[She shakes her head, lets out a sigh. Stuff like this wasn't really her thing; bringing in the perp, however, was.]

I don't know how much help I can be, investigation-wise. But I do a daily patrol of the City. If you release a description of the suspect, I could keep an eye out.

Either that, or some copycat watched the movies. Or felt inspired by that curse you were talking about.

I'll see what I can remember. Maybe put together some sort of sketch.
