Decide if you want to be a Different Path character, or bring in a non-DifferentPath AU character6.)
Find the appropriate form, fill it out, and reply to the Joining Post.
Once accepted, fill out the PLAYER FORM and reply to the acceptance comment with it.7.)
Look at other character's histories, read a few threads, and start thinking of how your character fits into this world.
Start talking to other people who may be involved in your ideas and see what they think. Remember, you can't dictate what other people do - you can work with them, and hope for the best, but you can't force something that won't work.8.)
Make an entry in your character's journal of your character's personal time line. Whether they're AU or from this verse, lay out a basic (or detailed) summary of how they got where they are today. You can edit this whenever and however you like, as many times as you like.9.)
Reply to the PROFILE PAGE with a link to your character's information.10.)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS;
Q: How do I join in the rp?
A: Visit the "Joining / The Cast" post and see if the character you'd like to play is taken.
Q: The character I want is taken. Can I bring my own AU character in?
A: YES! We've got some outside-AU characters that somehow found their way into our universe. How ever your character finds their way here is up to you.
Q: When can I start roleplaying?
A: As soon as I, or another moderator, reply to your application or send you a PM saying you're accepted! We play in sixwordstories, personal journals, and our community's rp community, a_differentrp. If you rp outside the rp community, make sure to post a link to it in the rp community so we can all keep track of each other!
Q: I want to be the Doctor/Master's companion!
A: Great! You need to talk about it with the Doctor or Master's mun, though. Don't get discouraged if they say no, there's always other little groups or bands to get apart of (Torchwood, UNIT, etc) and all the "groups" still interact with each other!
Q: Where does *insert canon character here* fit into the picture?
A: I have no idea! That's the beauty of it. You guys can come up with your own ideas, and collaborate together to figure out histories and situations. Just make sure you don't decide things for characters that aren't your own! Always check with other roleplayers involved in your ideas before going through with them.
Q: Can I be another regeneration of *insert Time Lord here*?
A: It depends. Whoever claims a Time Lord first can decide if they want their character's regenerations open or not. Just apply, or PM me with a question, and I'll let you know.
Q: Can I be *insert dead Time Lord here*
A: YES. If they exist in canon, whether it's the show, audio, books, or even comics, then you can find a way for them to be here.
Q: What kind of posts can I make in the community?
A: ANY POST! It's just here for everyone to talk to each other and come up with ideas. Don't be shy! Doesn't even have to be about the rp.
Q: I have a question that's not on here. What do I do?
A: Just post a comment here, or send me a PM! Don't be afraid, there's no such thing as a stupid question.
