The time has come, the Walrus said, to take a little breaksky.
That's not how it goes, but that's how it is. At the moment, I'm suffering a little bit of an RL a'splosion, and the addition of working through a BDE while also working through RL stress is not a very good combination, so I'm taking a break through the duration of the plot. I'll still be around (faithful squirrel duty!), but I'm plucking my kids out for a while in that desperate attempt we call 'clinging to Sanity.'
Here's the rundown, for those who care:
Turtle is a turtle, retroactively since Saturday, as Maron, who has modding rights, discovered yesterday.
As of this morning, Valentine is a cat, and the stoic brother dear has modding rights there.
Daisy was in England yesterday because her father had a nasty run in with an Atari bomb (best not ask), but will now be sent back to the States on a mission from Freelance Police, involving the investigation of dastardly tampering with the World's Largest Ball of Twine. This is not only an awesome example of Sam & Max canon, but it also ties in very nicely with the book that Daisy's canon is a sequel to, in a way that just demands a cameo from Daisy's future dead father-in-law that is just too beautiful for words. Loki is watering her plants while she's gone. Or at least he better be.
Minsc & Boo will be faithfully returning to Faerûn on the pretense that his old rambling crew got into a bit of a stitch, and the only one insane enough to help them through it is their old berserker. So that's where he'll be, hacking and slashing and being very excitable about it.
Charlotte is going to be busily bouncing back and forth between Connecticut and New York getting ready for the OMFG WEDDING next weekend. I seriously can't believe it's almost August already, wtf.
Rachel is going back to Georgia to visit with her mom (and maybe her sister if she has to) and celebrate her 22nd birthday, which is a very convenient way to finally settle on a date, since canon tells me Later Summer, but nothing specific.
Also, there will, unfortunately, be no new episode of So You Want to be the Nation's Next Top Model this week. There's some production issues. Apparently, someone's suing for format stealing, even if Tyra's involved in both projects.
That covered, I'll still be around (and by Wednesday will probably be chomping at the bit to be back properly), but I'm just stepping back a little to organize things RL a little better without the stress of worrying about my characters not being involved in the BDE. I have great envy for and look forward to reading some of the amazing crack you guys come up with that I just don't have the brain power for right now. ♥
