my Tumblr You knew it was too good to last, didn’t you? After the discovery, the outing, and the apologies, things on the Winterfox/Requires Hate/Benjanun Sriduangkaew/Beetori Sritruslow/Talking Hive front got quiet for a while. And then they weren’t. Twitter is an interesting thing. It’s not always easy to track conversations back

I don't know Moen, and am willing to accept that she misheard/misinterpreted what was said at EasterCon. But here's the thing:
She posted that someone on a panel had said something about RH that had made her uncomfortable. Nothing she has written since indicates that she tried to verify what she heard, or confirm that she heard it correctly, before she posted it. Then, again before confirming what was said (as far as I can tell from her tweets and blog), she confirmed that Kari was the source. She did this AFTER RH said that any RP slash fic with her and Vox Day would necessarily be rapefic.* So even if it were true that she was unaware of the RH/Kari history, it's hard to believe that she couldn't see how upset her 'new' friend Bee was. Isn't that the point where most people would make sure to verify what was said, as well as who said it?
I think she's just in damage control mode now, but I think the damage on all fronts is far more than she bargained for.
*The irony of attacking Kari for misuse of the word 'slash' because "everybody knows how fic works", yet claiming that a fic writer has to write according to canon (at least for RP) is apparently lost on RH and her friends.

Item one, surely, SURELY, if someone had actually talked about rapefic on a well attended panel in the UK, it would have been all over the Internet in nanoseconds, and not in a good way.

Also, I'd note that E'con panels are often recorded on video. So if it was, it would be really easy to check who said what.
As far as I can see, Kari is being punished for being on a panel that Moen thought she had a right to be on.
