they never thought that we'd get large

man, i haven't posted to this in a while. i should give a brief update.

over break i went out to LA and chilled with jessica and tim, i had alot of fun. LA is great, i need to migrate. i painted a picture of Rocky when i was at tim's, and i signed it 'KENNY', and he asked me why i signed only my last name. i had to explain how my life drawing teacher is a Nazi and only accepts drawings that contain tiny last names in the corners, making sure they do not disturb the composition whatsoever. then tim started telling me that he signs 'Tim Armstrong' very large on his pieces, he said that since he knows he isnt very big in the art world, maybe the viewer can see the name and tie it to him in his music career. i thought that was adorable.

so yeah, i painted this picture of Rocky on a canvas tim gave me, and tim liked it so much that he took Skinhead Rob's painting down and replaced my painting with it. it felt good to have someone put my piece on their wall. i wish i had saved the picture i took of it. but jessica was telling me that everyone who comes in the house says that they love it, which makes me want to start signing my first AND last name on my pieces from now on, considering the stature of the people who visit timothy. maybe i could start building up a name recognition.

so, LA was great even though i didn't make it to MOCA as i had planned, which would have been great to see some Rauschenberg's, but whatev. oh, and jessica and i took acid in a motel six and i got all these ideas for pieces, which is cool, but i can't talk about their subject matter, i have learned my lesson from giving out art ideas, people just steal them from me and it just ends up biting me in the ass. oh, and jessica has been going to AA meetings in california, which i am very proud of her for.

when i got back from california, this stray cat that is always hanging around my house gave birth, and now it's fucking kitten city at my place. SO IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN OBTAINING A CAT, HIT ME UP.

and there is an art show at my school next week, so i need to come up with some pieces by monday, which shouldn't be to tough. i hope i win the art show, and i might have a chance considering how shitty the other student's pieces will be.

oh, and i kinda sorta threw my phone on the ground last week and broke it, so if you want me to have your number, then please give it to me, because i lost everything on it. otherwise, i dont know, i might not be contacting you for a while.

and FINALLY, i went to first friday the other day, and it was my first time. i swear, i have never encountered so many people that i knew so well from high school/college and have them not recognize me when i am standing right next to them. i even looked this one kid in the eyes, and he didn't even say anything. i mean, i know i look alot different now, since i lost all the crazy outfits and black hair and stuff, but this was kind of ridiculous. i saw Ms. Illardo, matt sparks, derek roof, his girlfriend, some kid from my old drawing class, this guy mike, erin gunn, jeremiah, and i think i even saw joel freude. and i recieved no recognition from any of them, which is kind of alright.

and you know that we shall meet again, if your memory serves you well.
