LOL... was reading a "simplistic explanation" written by someone who was "no musician" about different music notes, and it struck me as rather funny that they referred to the line that's attached to crotchets, minims and quavers etc. as a "stalk" instead of a stem. After that I had a ridiculous image of the stalk in Jack and the Beanstalk being a musical quaver with an extra extra long stem and the curly tail thing at the end being a leaf. The note-head was, naturally, the seed of the bean. >.<
