This place...

It's best to stray as far away from the dramatics that happen here as humanly possible.

Honestly.

At least the shop has flourished...truly nothing like London...were I to choose between this, and my rightful oblivion, the latter seems a better choice, no matter the circumstances.

Maybe it's not London, mate, but I can't help but think it's a bloody sight better than this oblivion of yours.

Give me a few more of these curses and I might change my mind.

...Besides. Nothing's like London but London, eh?

...No. There's no place like London.

...You've got a point.

Have you got a name, son of the city?

[OOC: do you mind if John recognizes said name? He's no musical buff, of course, but he is British and it's a pretty famous story.]

A man of little mirth, sir.

Certainly not.

It may not be London, but this City's bloody interesting, I'll give it that much.

...I'm John Constantine. Sorry to disappoint, but I handle my own shaving.

It has it's moments.

Ah. You've seen my parlor, then?

Oh yeah, lovely place, mate, not too many bloodstains or anything.

Just what are you implying, sir?

...Oh, nothing at all. I must have thought you were someone else for a moment there. Things like that happen in this City, you know.

Of course. Things do happen.
