His first crush

A/N: I was one of the few who actually liked Justin... too bad that he was the first in a series of crazy psychotic boyfriends for Chloe who wanted to kill her.

Justin Gaines hated to go to school. Even if Smallville’s high school was, so the school committee, the friendliest and cleanest in all of Kansas, it never made up for the fact that ‘popular people’ walked around like they owned the place.
The only reason why he did go to school was the outlook of seeing her. She was the only reason he hadn’t begged his mother for home schooling or to move to his father who lived separated from her in Metropolis.
Every school-day Justin woke up with the hope that the school-papers editor would look at him in a different way than she usually did. He had had a crush on Chloe Sullivan going right back to her first day of school. She probably didn’t remember it like he did. But that day was the day she had introduced herself to him, after having gotten a school bully off of his back.
After that fateful day he remembered seeing her always together with the Kent boy, and later on also with Pete Ross. She was always dressed differently from all the others. She was unique not only in her dressing but also in her shiny-warm being. While Lana Lang could entrance people with her mysterious and sad beauty, Chloe cheered people up by only being in the same room.
Justin fell in love with her, the minute she saved his lunch money. And it might sound silly, but he always knew that one day he’d be together with her. He knew that even if this that he was feeling was a crush, it would be mutual if he just had enough courage to speak up und tell her how he felt about her.
