Smallville: Chloe/Davis -in secret.
They had been in love from the first moment they met. In the middle of chaos and smoke, he had found her and she had accepted the help that he had offered. It had been a bumpy ride from being Jimmy’s long-time girlfriend to becoming Davis Bloom’s lover and years later wife, but she wouldn’t have changed anything of it anyway.
Their relationship was one that blossomed in secret. Maybe that was the reason for it being so successful. Clark didn’t know of it, therefore couldn’t destroy it with his unwillingness to accept someone beside her, and Lois couldn’t play the over protective cousin and annoy him with her constant interrogations.
She was in perfect bliss, up until the murders in Metropolis happened. That was when she noticed a change in her lover. His whole demeanour changed, he became less happy and opened, and started to retreat inside himself, he cut himself off from the little friends he had. Sometimes she feared for him.
So when Davis came and told her, that he needed to leave Metropolis because he couldn’t live there anymore, she accepted it, and followed him willingly. They settled into a small town in Canada and never set foot into Metropolis or any other big city again.
And sometimes in the dead of the night, Chloe wondered why it was that the murders suddenly stopped after they left. She hoped with all her heart that it was only a coincident.
