Ok… so now was the time to tell him… alright! Go and tell him! Come on, just one step at a time… arrrggg!!! Thought Chloe Sullivan as she held on to the kitchen counter while staring at her boyfriend Scott Summers, who was sitting at the table.
He was reading the newspaper and drinking his coffee.
She cleared her throat and tried to talk. He didn’t lift his head but gave a ‘hm’ to acknowledge her.
“So, anything interesting in the news?” asked Chloe. Scott only grumbled something that sounded like a ‘no nothing’ while sipping his coffee again.
Chloe took a deep breath and continued almost hysterically amused. “Well, I have some for you… Guess who found out she’s pregnant a week before her wedding?!”
Scott spat out the coffee he couldn’t swallow in shock. He stared at her with wide eyes, while Logan who had just entered the kitchen and heard Chloe’s declaration started laughing uncontrollably.
It took Scott some time to digest the news, but when he did, and Logan’s laughing hadn’t ceased yet he said sternly “Shut up, Logan! Or you’ll have diaper duty!”
Logan sobered up, and gave him his best ‘I’d rather be dead’ look. Then Scott approached Chloe and kissed her temple while whispering “Hmm… I think that worked out pretty good. Sooner than we planed, but that’s fine.” He kissed her hair while Chloe snuggled up closer to him.
Logan left the kitchen making a silly, childish gagging sound.
