i have decided on a whim, for the first time, to participate in NaNoWriMo this year. if you follow the link, you will see that i have already jumped headlong into it, and am approximately 4% done. yay for mindless quick writing! i don't know if i can write a 50,000 word novel, but i'm gonna try.

i have finished reading self made man, and i enjoyed it thoroughly [though non-fiction is not my usual genre of choice], in terms of prosaic quality, theme, and overall captivation of the plot. however, upon reflection, i believe that i am still partial to [speculative] fiction, and more specifically, to the works of dead authors ( Read more... )
