Originally uploaded by jacob earl john vanderslice was awesome on saturday and sunday! what can i say? i love his music, he put on a great set both days - a good mix of new and old material - and he is ably-backed by a great band. i think i took about 300 pics of them on saturday! the weather on saturday was great... it was raining, and then the sky cleared and the sun came out for vanderslice. just perfect. :)
tonight i go see the national! i'm so stoked about this show. it is gonna be grand! as usual, i hope to get some great pics.
a few posts back, i promised to review the new albums by placebo, grizzly bear, and wilco. in short, the wilco album is pretty good, the grizzly bear album is quite good, and the placebo album is ok so far. nothing about any of them inspires me to expand anymore than that. take that as you will.
