When I see the word "pounds" (as in weight) abbreviated as lbs, I say it as "libs" in my head.

I do the same thing with cooking, except I will say those out loud, especially if someone is helping me or in the kitchen. Tablespoon is tibs, teaspoon is tisp.

Yeah, I do that too sometimes with "libs." I think that started when I was learning to read and had no idea what "lbs" meant or why it was the abbreviation for "pounds."

I don't do it with "tibs" or "tisp" though. That's just fuckin' weird.
