Wow, that title is a bit awesome.
Anyways, Thanksgiving was pretty great. It was just my immediate family and I. We had an afternoon dinner in the dining room (FANCY) and broke out the nice glasses (SUPER FANCY) and dinnerware. Deliciousness. It was the first Thanksgiving of my life where there were less people than I have toes and fingers.
Usually my dad's side of the family comes over, but this year my parents opted out, because they're taking a trip this weekend with some friends somewhere down in Massachusetts. I will admit, my favorite holiday of the year is Thanksgiving, because I get to see my dad's family and I love them, but it was great this year, too.
I fought my mother on the garlic instant potatoes for exactly two minutes, and then admitted it wasn't a big deal, and that was the only problem they got from me. My little mini protest for the sake of tradition. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to be Republican to hate change. Well, some change anyways.
THIS TYPE OF CHANGE NOT GOOD
After dinner we all went for a Thanksgiving walk down to the pond, through the woods. It was fantastic. Honestly, I loved it so much. Quality, organic family time doesn't happen a lot with all five of us, and I'm glad I decided to do it instead of watching The Office on DVD, because we created a new tradition I think. In fact, my mother and I actually confirmed the tradition by stating we'd be doing this every year.
My mom and I are kind of in charge.
Anyways, I was in bed by 6pm, and asleep by 8pm, because I had work at 2am the following morning!! More on that later.
